Fixation of ferritic particles
BSH magnetic
We use permanent magnets to improve operational safety
We use permanent magnets in our screw plugs to ensure that residual ferritic (magnetic) particles are extracted from the surrounding medium and fixed. This prevents these tiny parts from getting stuck in narrow passages, small through-holes, valve seats or on sealing surfaces and other hydraulically important areas and to prevent them interfering with operational safety. The improved cleanliness improves the operational safety and running performance of the machine or system and can extend maintenance intervals.
The magnets are permanently fixed in the screw plugs by being placed in additional drilled holes on the bottom surfaces of the screws where they are held in place. This metallic clamping keeps the magnets in place even under extreme operating conditions and when different media are used. Typical problems that may occur when magnets are glued in, e.g. ageing adhesives or chemical reactions between the medium and the adhesive, do not occur with permanent fixation. The shape, material and polarisation of our permanent magnets can be adapted to the application conditions.
