Clamp coating prevents things coming loose
Elastomeric gaskets are used to seal floor joints in the construction of multistorey car parks. Due to the continuous corrosion load, the screw plugs retaining these gaskets must be made of stainless steel. In addition, the elastomeric profiles must be able to withstand long-term stress: The elements should not move when car tyres drive over them. The screws are subjected to shearing forces that would loosen the connection over time if conventional designs were used. These are special requirements for the components that Bilstein & Siekermann® can meet: Our non-reactive clamping coating based on DIN 267 T28 prevents loosening of the connection.
No dirt accumulates in the screw thread
Bilstein & Siekermann® components are also used in formwork construction: Here, even very small amounts of dirt can cause threads to jam making it extremely difficult to tighten or unscrew them again. This is annoying and can lead to significant delays on the construction site. We can provide internal threaded parts that have robust thread profiles with wider cross sections, larger pitches and more thread backlash so that they are more resistant to contamination than standard metric thread profiles. This helps minimise unnecessary disruptions to operations on the construction site.
