Metal sealing rings

Our assemblies match each other perfectly
We help our customers with the assembly of metal sealing rings as a captive connection between the screw plug and metal seal. Both components are ideally matched in terms of material selection and properties. Screws are often used in combination with metal sealing rings in transmissions and engines, in oil sumps or the hydraulics. Our metal sealing rings are mainly made of aluminium, copper or soft iron. When tightening the screw plug, the relatively soft sealing ring is subject to plastic deformation, fills out any areas of unevenness or anomalies to create a reliable seal. The plastic deformation of the sealing ring requires a sufficiently high pre-tensioning force.
- Like normal fasteners, the screw plug and sealing ring assembly allow automated assembly which, in turn, saves on scheduling work.
- The design of the metal sealing rings is based on DIN 7603
