Thai cookery course with all trainees on 3 November 2016
We made use of our contact to Ms Schwarz and a Thai cooking evening was organised.
Last Thursday evening, we trainees and our training supervisor, Ms Ubl met Ms Schwarz at the Realschule plus school in Gerolstein.
It was not only the female apprentices that were very interested in the event. Our male trainees were also really enthusiastic.
Ms Schwarz explained the specifics of Thai cooking, introduced ingredients and showed us how to cook spring rolls. At the same time, we learned how to make sushi.
Split into three groups of three, there was a lot of talk and laughter besides cooking. When it was over, the trainees were able to sit down with pride and satisfaction to a fine spread and try their own cooking. Even though it was already late, everyone chatted for a long time before they all helped with the washing-up.
We had also invited two of our future colleagues who will be starting a dual study course in mechanical engineering in 2017. Both took the opportunity to introduce themselves and get to know the rest of the BSH trainees, and we were able to discuss the apprenticeship and degree course with the current dual study trainees.
We left this evening not only knowing how to cook Thai specialities ourselves, but also having got to know our other trainee colleagues a little better and form close friendships.
All in all, this evening has gone a long way to bring the BSH trainees together and will certainly be the start of more enjoyable meetings of young BSH employees in the future.
