First parents’ afternoon on 7 July 2016 at Bilstein & Siekermann®
After a short welcome, our sales manager, Mr Mario Huber, presented Bilstein & Siekermann®.
The new trainees, Sascha Daun (punching and forming mechanic), Daniel Rein (metalworking specialist) and Timo Reinarz (industrial management assistant) were then warmly welcomed by Paul Becker, the head of HR, Britta Ubl, the head of Training and the supervisors. Then the training contracts were handed over to the new apprentices.
The trainees, who completed their dual training this year with very good results, Daniel Bach (punching and forming mechanic), Simone Peters (office management assistant) and Michael Zalewski (warehouse specialist) were congratulated by Mr Becker and Ms Ubl on their very good exam results.
Afterwards, the parents were able to enjoy an interesting tour of the company, which was conducted by the trainees themselves. The young BSH technical trainees showed and explained how the machines in production work. The commercial trainees proudly showed their parents their workplaces and explained the routines and tasks they perform on a daily basis.
After the two-hour tour, all the participants gathered again in the function room to end the afternoon in pleasant conversation among the supervisors, parents and trainees.
The event was well received by all parties. The parents are delighted to have gained an insight into where their children work and are confident that in this company they are in good hands and are enjoying their work.
