Careers evening on 23 October 2019

On 23.10.2019, the annual ‘careers evening fair took place at the Hocheifel Realschule plus school. 43 trade, retail and industrial companies presented their businesses and their training opportunities to the students of Years 8 to 12.

Naturally, Bilstein & Siekermann^®, as an innovative medium-sized company from the Volcanic Eifel region, was again represented at the event.

Daniel Klein (1st year metal cutting mechanic apprentice), who we actually recruited at the careers evening in 2018, also participated and presented our product portfolio and our manufacturing processes to interested students and parents and shared his experience of his technical training. He was listened to attentively by the audience of young people, parents and teachers.

Celine Betz (long-term intern in the administration department), who is actually a Year 11 student at the FOS in Adenau, and Ms Ubl were available to answer any questions about the commercial training programmes.

Ms Ubl also answered a number of general questions relating to work placements, apprenticeships and dual study. It was nice to see that our booth was visited by many people again this year.

We are already looking forward to attending the career fair next year. The next ‘Career Evening’ will take place on 23.09.2020.
