Career orientation at the Hocheifel Realschule plus school with the Adenau College – 30 and 31 October 2018
During the company presentation in the school on 30 October, the students of Classes 8 to 12 had the opportunity to get to know the company, its product profile and its training programmes. A questionnaire was used in the booth to answer questions, to demonstrate products and to describe the apprenticeships in more detail.
Some of the students were particularly interested and asked about work placements in the engineering department. Girls tended to be interested in commercial apprenticeships, especially the industrial management assistant programme.
On 31 October, the students and their parents attended the Vocational Training Evening to find out more about our company and the available apprenticeships. It was nice to see that many students visited our booth twice – because this shows their interest in us, our products and what we have to offer.
Our new metal cutting mechanic apprentice for the 2019 training year also visited our booth. He is currently still at the Hocheifel secondary school. He was so taken with us last year that he opted for a technical apprenticeship at Bilstein & Siekermann® in 2019. We were very pleased about that.
It would be nice if we were able to find a new apprentice this year at the event.
